addiction!

Ormai le possiamo trovare ovunque: doppie, triple, lunghe, corte, floreali, rock e punk. Non come 4 anni fa - più che shopping quella era una caccia al tesoro! Oggi possiamo averne una per ogni occasione, una per il giorno e una per la sera, anche a seconda dell'umore magari. Questa è la mia ultima arrivata, un'amica saggia mi ha impedito di comprare una gonna rosa di piume in coordinato, sarebbe stato troppo :)

L'effetto sixties è assicurato oppure si può evitare? La cosa più importante in ogni caso è non sentirsi dire "stile Paris Hilton!" - ebbene sì una volta mi è successo...

Head - Hats Problems

You cannot hide in a hat; you will be noticed, especially by men.  To men, you become a lady when you don a hat, one who they rush to open doors for.  To women, you become an inspiration, reminding them that they have a closet full of hats they have not had the courage to wear.

That's a very powerfull quote I think... maybe a little too much. But in the end these words may hide a little truth: today if you wear a hat you need to ask yourself several times:  

are you sure about that?  

And most of the time the answer is:

well... maybe next time - no hat for today, that's not the right occasion.

So, is there A RIGHT occasion?

Maybe hats are no longer a regular part of our outfits as they were in the past, so we see them as something really extravagant and a little osé, that only some people in particular occasions can wear without looking awkward.

In the end it's just a hat, and moreover it's a classic! We shouldn't hide them in our closets untill a wedding comes around. The risk is to finish like Sarah Ferguson daughters hats at the last Royal Wedding: the desire was too high, and the result just unspeakable.

All right purposes, but I'm the first to be not self-confident enough most of the time, result - several times I just don't wear them, even if I'd love to.
