shopping in Paris - part 1

Cinque giorni a Parigi a qualcuno possono sembrare nulla, per altri sono come l'ossigeno, come aria fresca nei polmoni. Rivedere posti e persone che ti sono familiari, e scoprire allo stesso tempo tutto ciò che è nuovo o è cambiato.
Una delle mie prima tappe è stata proprio rue de Charonne, nell'11° arrondissement - quartiere bobo di Parigi - una rue dove si sono stabiliti tanti nuovi stilisti con le loro boutiques, in cerca di stimoli e spazi giovani, ma anche nomi che non hanno bisogno di pubblicità, come la très parisienne Isabel Marant. 

Camminando ho notato questa boutique: La Botte Gardiane, l'odore di cuoio inebriante mi ha attirato come il miele le api. Scopro grazie a Fanny (designer della maison) che  il loro è un marchio storico, e che oltre a preservare l'archivio, si evolve sperimentando nuovi materiali e modelli.

Ed ecco che entro in gioco io, all'ingresso mi colpiscono subito le babucce: da molto tempo le osservo in ogni genere di vetrina e penso:
- "di velluto con ricami oro? TROPPO babucce" -
- "camoscio e nappine? dandy... ma no grazie" -

Non avevo ancora trovato il modello giusto ma...

Five days in Paris to someone could mean nothing special, but to me it means pure oxygen, fresh air which goes straight to my lungs. Seeing people and places that are familiar, and at the same time discovering what it's new and what has changed.
One of my first stop was rue de Charonne, 11th arrondissement - definitely a bobo district in Paris - a street where young designers are opening their spaces, looking for inspiration and freedom, and also where are others who doesn't need many ads, like the très parisienne Isabel Marant.

Walking down rue de Charonne I suddenly noticed this shop: La Botte Gardiane, the smell of leather attracted me as honey does with bees.
I found out thanks to Fanny (designer of the brand) that they have a history of tradition, and they're trying to innovate using new materials and models, still maintaining the brand's historical archive. 

And then was my turn, at the entrance I got rapt by their slippers: in the last two years I always have observed them in the shops and I've always thought:

- "velvet with gold embroidery? TOO MUCH slippers..." - 
- "suede with tassels? very DANDY... but no, thanks" -

I hadn't found the right model yet, when...
